About 9-boxes Of Thought
9-Boxes of Thought Structure
Thinking can be viewed as a structure from observation to action.
The horizontal axis represents the process of thinking over time.
The vertical axis represents layers of reality, recognition, and thinking.
Together they show where thinking currently sits in both process and depth.

Fact and Recognition
Fact = phenomenon + interpretation
Facts consist of two elements.
・Phenomenon in reality
・Interpretation in recognition
When interpretation stabilizes, it becomes an assumption.
This is the moment when a problem or task is recognized.

Assumption Collapse
Sometimes assumptions collapse.
When the relationship between recognition and action breaks, thinking stops.
This moment is called assumption collapse.
From Recognition to Action
From recognition, thinking proceeds through several stages:
・gathering data
・inferring causality
・forming hypotheses
・testing and deciding
These processes eventually reconnect thinking to action in reality.

The 10th Quadrant
The 9 boxes represent the area where causality can still guide action.
But beyond them lies a different space.
This can be called the 10th quadrant —
a space of the unknown, the unrecognized, and the undiscovered.
Entering this space means stepping beyond existing assumptions.
